We currently have three financial sponsors whom we would like to thank for their excellent support and vision (yes, it is a bit selfish but we think sponsoring Greenroads represents excellent vision).
The State Pavement Technology Consortium (SPTC) is a pooled fund study involving four state departments of transportation (DOTs): Washington, California, Texas and Minnesota. This consortium meets regularly to share research, ideas, best practices and fund new research. Greenroads is one such funded project.
Transnow at the University of Washington is a regional University Transportation Research Center (UTC) administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation through its Research and Innovation Technology Administration (RITA). As part of its function, TransNow provides support for research, education, and technology transfer efforts such as this one. We are grateful for TransNow support and are excited to have them as our first sponsor.
The Western Federal Lands Highway Division (WFLHD) operates as part of the Federal Lands Highway Program, serving the needs of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in Wyoming. WFLHD actively administers the surveying, designing and constructing of forest highway system roads, parkways and park roads, Indian reservation roads, defense access roads, and other Federal lands roads. WFLHD also provides training, technology deployment, engineering services, and products to other customers.
